- In the south and southwest of China, the wheat has lost its marketability for its low yield, poor quality and poor stability of production because of unfavorable weather and ecological constraints.The conservation price of wheat has been withdrawn from national stage, and the State’s issued about one-third of the acreage guiding plan. Research have been carried out ahead of this by China Agriculture Academy. A number of improved varieties of barley have been bred. In the hilly areas of Sichuan Basin, wheat yield potential comparative study found that improved varieties of barley are more easily than wheat cultivation. It not only can avoid unfavorable rainy conditions of wheat harvest , but also can provide valuable early stubble for various types of crops Spring grains, economic crops; It produced corresponding farming systems of barley production and cultivation techniques, guided masses to cooperate barley and corn to feed lean pigs, poultry and rabbits, which achieved good results and improved quality of animal products, and produced feeding formula through cooperating with forage companies. This finds a way out for feed barley to the development of commercialization and industrialization.
