- Feed barley becomes a good choice for the animal in regarding to a research.
Feed quality and digestibility calls for improved in a present invention which relates to animal feed and to a process for preparing animal food.During several researches, we found that "pre-fermenting of cereal facilitates formation of firm feed pellets and produces feed which is more digestible than conventional feed containing non-fermented cereal". Furthermore, fish feed containing pre-fermented cereal has also been found to exhibit an effect without stimulating. Therefore, feed barley, as a kind of the cereal, its quality and digestibility indubitably benefited to the animal.
According to the invention, the feed produced may be processed to the conventional form by expansion, extrusion, heating, drying, and pelleting. While pellet form is preferred, the feeds used in the invention may be in other forms, e.g. flakes or powders.
Any feedstuff cereal could be used in the present invention. However for animal, such as fish feed barley, wheat and oats are preferred and oat and barley are especially preferred.
