Feed Barley price has not been controlled or monopolized in Vietnam since no company holds up to 30% of the market share in Vietnam recently declared by Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Director of the Livestock Husbandry Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

When people discovered that the domestic cottonseeds prices have not decreased, the problem has been brought into focus, despite the sharp falls in the prices of feed barley material prices in the world’s market. MARD has proposed the Government to put several categories of cottonseeds materials, the supply of which has been depending on imports, into the list of products which need to have prices stabilized. For example, the list of the products which have the prices controlled by the State.

The ministry said that in long term, the reasonable prices are necessary to be built in order to push up the production of cottonseeds materials domestically. Duong from MARD said that Vietnam's small enterprises need to cooperate and assist with each other, so as to be able to import feed barley materials with large quantities and low prices.
